KUHL VOTES FOR FEDERAL BUDGET BILL
Rep. John R. "Randy" Kuhl, Jr. (R-Hammondsport) voted today for the Continuing Resolution Omnibus Appropriations Bill to fund the federal government for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2007.
"This bill represents a strong commitment to the most important programs within the federal budget," said Rep. Kuhl. "The bill specifically funds a $3.6 billion increase in veterans' health care, a large increase in defense health care, a boost to Pell grants, and additional increases for law enforcement, health, and transportation. While there are some aspects of the bill I disagree with, including how it was brought to the floor, I fully support the increase in funds to the programs that are so important to my constituents within the context of a balanced budget and without tax increases."
